Mock Trial

We will go out of our way to make the service EASY TO USE.

Mock Trial Services

Courtroom Connect provides services to law firms who utilize mock trials for litigation preparation.

Video Streaming over the Internet
CC can stream the video of the mock trial proceedings to remote locations. CC will install its video servers to stream audio/video feeds from existing cameras and microphones in the presentation room and deliberation room(s) over the web. If a videographer is present, CC can stream the A/V from the videographer’s feed over the Internet. CC will handle all the necessary cabling/wiring necessary to link its server(s) to the existing A/V equipment in the presentation and deliberation room. The stream will be set up so that the end viewer can pick and choose which rooms he or she would like to view. CC can provide on-site technical support to educate videographers on using the streaming system and would be available to stay on-site during the mock trial on request.

The video has a 15 second delay. The video screen is available in two sizes: 240 x 180 pixels or 320 x 240 pixels. The smaller screen will be utilized if there is also digital evidence to stream, and the larger screen is utilized if just video is streamed. All users who request to view the deliberation room and trial presentation via the web will get a website address to log into with a secure username and password.

Evidence Viewer
CC can stream over the web the evidence presented during the mock trial in conjunction with the video. CC can receive a feed from the document imaging camera (ELMO) or laptop for evidence streaming. For instance, a document or X-Ray can be streamed over the Internet while the witness is referencing it. The evidence is streamed as high resolution jpeg images.

Video of Proceedings
CC can provide a digital format of the trial proceedings in WMV format or convert it to MPEG format to be viewed at the clients’ convenience. The capture station automatically records the trial proceedings in the WMV format, so it is immediately ready at the end of recording. The proceeding can be recorded at a higher resolution than the video stream and is automatically encoded. At the end of the proceedings, the client can receive a real-time, digitally encoded, high-resolution recording in a WMV format.

Video Conferencing
CC can provide video conferencing solutions for any part of the litigation process. Leveraging our existing network and relationships, we are able to deploy solutions quickly and efficiently.

Web Repository Services
CC can provide a dedicated web repository for secure storage of audio/video from mock trial proceedings. This service allows for convenient access of important work product by authorized participants regardless of their location.

Internet Connectivity
For mock trial venues which lack Internet connectivity, CC can arrange for either wired or wireless Internet connectivity at the site. A connection is needed to stream video or realtime transcript.

Equipment Rental and Set-up
Through our partners, CC can supply a wide variety of equipment to meet the needs of the participants. In addition, CC provides complete set-up and integration of the equipment.

Onsite User Support
CC can provide skilled onsite support staff to ensure that mock trials run smoothly and efficiently.

Other Technology Solutions
Because CC has invested in an infrastructure for Internet-based solutions, we can provide technology to solve communication problems during the mock trial process. CC can work with your company to create technology solutions that currently do not exist today but would improve the litigation process.
