(PHILADELPHIA, PA) JUNE 7, 2004 - Courtroom Connect, the leading provider of high-speed Internet access, printing, and remote real-time transcripts to attorneys at court, announced today that, working with the First Judicial District Court of Common Pleas Trial Division, they have installed a high-speed wireless Internet network in City Hall. The expansion of Courtroom Connect’s wireless service to Philadelphia allows lawyers in trial to conduct online research, access and transfer large office files, send and receive e-mail with attachments, access trial databases and print documents from their laptops—all from virtually anywhere in the courthouse. In addition to trial proceedings, the service can be utilized for hearings and conferences.

Judge James J. Fitzgerald, III, Administrative Judge for the Trial Division stated, "The Court of Common Pleas – Trial Division has been working diligently to bring advanced technology into the court that is practical and highly useful to the Bar and Court. Courtroom Connect's Wi-Fi service certainly qualifies. Since the service relies on user fees to cover costs, the Court considers this to be an efficient and cost-effective way to offer some wonderful technology to both attorneys and litigants. Any attorney that uses the Internet for their practice can benefit from having Internet access and subsequent services at the courthouse."

John Shin, Senior Vice President of Sales for Courtroom Connect, had this to say, "We are very pleased about our recent expansion into the Philadelphia courts. The legal community in the area will now have access to this high technology throughout City Hall. The Philadelphia Court has demonstrated a strong commitment to increasing the level of technology they make available to the Bar, and we are proud to be a part of the enhancements they are making. We look forward to working with the local Bar to educate attorneys on this useful service.”

In addition to a rapidly expanding list of over 20 courthouses throughout the country, Courtroom Connect provides a variety of other services to the legal community. For example, Courtroom Connect offers a temporary-anywhere service called Trial-Connect™, which enables trial teams to order Wi-Fi Internet services for individual trials at courthouses anywhere in the United States. Courtroom Connect also provides Wi-Fi services to law firms and bar associations, as well as multi-media audio/video services for live capture and streaming of presentations, meetings, depositions and other events that warrant a securely integrated communication solution.

The First Judicial District of the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas will be hosting two seminars for attorneys and support staff titled, “Leveraging Internet Access at Trial”, in City Hall at noon on July 13th and July 15th.
